Andrea Chan is a passionate choreographer, performer, educator and mentor — and proudly leads as Assistant Director at The Dance Collective. With a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma of Education (Primary), she brings a unique blend of structure, creativity, and warmth to her work both on and off the stage.

Her performance credits include working with artists such as Jessica Mauboy, The Veronicas, and Stan Walker. She has appeared in television commercials for Kleenheat Gas, Lotterywest, and major advertising campaigns for WA Tourism, Swan Valley Tourism and Rio Tinto. She was also part of the high-energy musical Countdown Spectacular and has performed at numerous large-scale events across Perth.

Andrea’s commitment to arts education runs deep. She helped design the dance education program for the West Australian Ballet and served on the selection panel for the Department of Education’s Gifted and Talented Dance programs. She teaches a wide range of styles — Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop — but her heart lies in Lyrical. At TDC, she works closely with both teens and adults in this style and leads inclusive, upbeat DanceFit classes designed for all ages and abilities.

Andrea has been with The Dance Collective since its very beginning in 2003, and her connection to the company is profoundly personal. She wholeheartedly believes in TDC’s mission: to build a community where dancers not only work hard and grow artistically, but also feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether in the classroom or behind the scenes, Andrea creates an environment where dancers of all levels feel inspired to move with purpose, connect with others, and grow in confidence.
