Julia Yusof began dancing at John Curtin College of the Arts where she participated in the Music Theatre and Dance programs. After graduating, she joined The Dance Collective in 2012 and truly found her passion for dance. Julia is a versatile dancer, with experience in Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz and Commercial. She obtained a Certificate II in Music Theatre from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (2014) and holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary). Julia has been a member of The Dance Collective’s teaching team since 2017. She was thrilled to choreograph and direct her first dance film Ruminate, produced by The Dance Collective, in 2020. Julia has performed at various corporate and community events, including Perth Zoo’s Kidchella, St Catherine’s College Ball, the Oasis Ball & Campaign Brief Awards, and the Hopman Cup launch. She recently featured in Mate Song, a television commercial starring Kylie Minogue, for Tourism Australia. Julia feels extremely lucky to be given an outlet to express her creativity and see her love of dance continue to grow.
